eXp Canada
Mentor Program
The eXp Mentor Program provides participating mentees with a partner and a path to gain the fundamental knowledge needed to build a successful real estate career. Each mentee is paired with an experienced agent who is certified through the Mentor Program.
The eXp Mentor Program pairs mentees with a Certified Mentor and the GO! Curriculum to build a foundation for success. While mandatory for agents with fewer than three transactions in the 12 months prior to onboarding, any agent may voluntarily opt in for hands-on guidance. If you are not required to join but would like to participate, please email mentorprogram@exprealty.net to get started.

What are the fees associated with the Mentor Program in Canada?
Upon joining the eXp Mentor Program, the mentee agrees to a 20% Mentor Program Fee for each required program transaction. This fee is split equally, with 10% going to the Mentor and 10% to eXp.
The fee is calculated as 20% of the Gross Commission Income (GCI) generated from each closed transaction. GCI is the amount earned before any Company Dollar or Contractor Dollar splits are applied. Please note that a minimum of $250 must be paid to both the Mentor and the Program for each transaction. Read more in the Program Overview.

Can I continue to work with my Mentor after I complete the required 3 transactions?
If the mentee and mentor mutually agree to work together beyond three transactions, eXp will waive its Program fee of 10%, but the mentee will be required to continue to compensate their mentor at 10% for as many transactions as agreed upon. In order for eXp to waive the Program fee (10%) on these additional transactions, the mentee MUST have met the graduation requirements for the Program. What are the requirements to be a Certified Mentor?
To qualify as a Certified Mentor, applicants must be in good standing with their broker and all professional Realtor associations while demonstrating a track record of at least eight transactions in the past 12 months, including two or more with eXp Realty. Mentors are also expected to remain active in the community by attending at least 50% of broker meetings and 8 of 12 annual Mentor Mastermind workshops. Once these criteria are met, the final steps include completing the mentor application, receiving broker approval, and finishing a one-hour self-paced certification course.
